美國對中國晶片禁令發威！外媒報導，繪圖晶片大廠NVIDIA（輝達）主要競爭對手、中國上海壁仞智能（Biren Technology）因無法判定產品是否牴觸美國法令，台積電（2330）決定暫停對壁仞供貨。

《彭博社》報導，美國已禁止輝達供應A100晶片給中國市場，但新創公司壁仞是中國最被看好的半導體設計公司之一，特別是該公司推出用於AI（人工智慧）的圖形處理器BR100和BR10與輝達A100產品極有取代性，因此被視為是競爭者。

報導中強調，雖然台積電還無法確定壁仞的產品是否違反美國政府10月7日簽署的晶片法案，但台積電在遵守規範下，仍決定先暫停供應先進製程晶片。

在此之前台積電僅向外表示會遵守各地法律規範，但未說明在遵法原則下供貨暫停或終止概況；上海壁仞則因休假期間無法回應。

美國商務部官員則指出，晶片禁令法案公告後已積極宣導，會持續協助業者了解規範，避免觸法。

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. has suspended production of advanced silicon for Chinese startup Biren Technology to ensure compliance with US regulations, according to a person familiar with the matter.

The decision is connected with information in the public domain that Biren’s products outperform Nvidia Corp.’s A100 chips, which are now banned for the Chinese market, the person said, asking not to be identified discussing a sensitive matter.
